SPA whirlpool

If you experience much stress in your life, SPA whirlpool can be the best option. It relaxes, helps to regain strength and get energy for new activity.

We design the pools according to individual needs and desires, of any shape and size - it entirely depends on your ideas. Besides, we offer limitless design options, so that to make the SPA pool not only functionally useful but also a decorative element of your space! One of key advantages is the possibility to equip it on the site, where it is unfeasible to bring a ready SPA pool, because the whirlpools are embedded in concrete on site.

Once you choose a SPA whirlpool, you should know that its main scope of supply is the same as the one of a swimming pool, with the following systems additionally installed:

  • water filtration;
  • water lighting;
  • water heating;
  • access ladders or handrails;
  • water and air massage system.

When planning to equip this pool, a utility room near the pool should be allotted for the pool equipment, such as water filtration, circulation and massage systems, to be installed. Also, inlets of the water supply, sewage, electricity, heating have to be brought to the utility room.

These concrete SPA whirlpools are either a skimmer-type or overflow-type.

Skimmer–type SPA whirlpool (with skimmer on the pool wall)
This type of a pool is cheaper than overflow-type because it requires less technological equipment. The key operating principle of the skimmer-type pool is that water is collected to the filtration system through the skimmer (water collector) which is mounted on the pool wall. A water level in the pool is 10-15 centimetres lower than a top of the pool wall. For some people, it does not look good, for others – on the contray, it is not a problem at all, so, the skimmer-type whirlpool becomes a great choice.

Overflow–type SPA whirlpool (with water drain at ground level)
Water level in this whirlpool matches the maximum height of the pool wall (at ground level) so it looks much better than a skimmer-type SPA whirlpool. It costs more because of sophisticated technology used. For the overflow-type whirlpool balance tank, drain pipes, automatic water level control function has to be provided for that makes a price of the pool higher. As a water level is at the same height with the pool wall, water overflows through the drain channel to the balance tank. Next, a circulation pump moves water to the filter where it is treated with a special filter medium (sand, glass beads, etc.) and finally is pumped back to the pool. The balance tank should be placed lower than a water level. Usually, it is installed near SPA whirlpool at ground level or on the floor beneath the whirlpool next to the technological equipment. Capacity of the balance tank depends on the volume of SPA whirlpool.

We always recommend choosing SPA whirlpool equipment based on the number of seats in the pool so everyone could enjoy all the water pleasures available.

It is important to know that the water massage systems needs special water pumps, and the air massage system is provided with air compressors. Water jets are fitted to the back of the seat, and air jets are located at the sitting area and in the bottom of the pool at the feet massage points. SPA whirlpools can be additionally fitted with air geysers at the bottom, water cascades, etc. The number of water and air massage jets depends on client needs.

To ensure as long service life of the SPA whirlpools as possible, the jets and other fittings may be made of stainless steel, bronze, or white ABS plastic.
